How's your Tuesday treating you Trish?

It's been a bit of funny weather over here too, suddenly chilly at night again where we'd had windows open and fans on earlier in the month.

We've had thunderstorms since Saturday. Some right over the top of the house! Loud!

I've got a croaky voice at the moment. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. John and Joan have been telling me how sick I look. My face is all puffy and everything.

I've got to go and get some blood tests tomorrow morning. Not looking forward to the results. I have a strong feeling that the doctor's going to make me do something that I really don't want to do after I see him next week.

How are all of you doing?

Hi Ray.

Did you see the pumpkin soup recipe I put in "Share Your Recipes" in Humour and Games? I hope you like it. You don't have to roast the pumpkin though. You can boil or micrwave it. Healthier.

OK, I'm back.

That sounds like a fun recipe. Of couse I'd be the only one eating it because the wife doesn't care for punkin at all.

When you roast a punkin...how much product is there? The recipe calls for two cups. Won't you get more than that out of a typical punkin?

I am sorry that you are not feeling well Trish.

Right now I am good. I just woke-up, took a shower & got dressed so I still have that fresh feeling plus I got a hot cup of coffee.

Ray, you can always get a pie pumpkin, which is usually smaller than a carving pumpkin.

Pumpkin tends to reduce down quite a bit. By the time the skin comes off as well, it makes it even smaller. John tends to use a pumpkin to make a huge pot of it and freezes it into smaller portions for when you feel like it.

Of course, putting a lot of pumpkin into a pot, would make a huge amount if you wanted to use it for the soup kitchen. Our church has a super sized power blender to cut through everything that's in the soup pot. It's awesome!

Some scoop the contents of the pumpkin and use that (the pumpkin skin) as the serving dish.

Sorry I can't give a bigger cooking lesson, but I should have been in bed half an hour ago. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Well, if I lived closer to Rach, I'd go help her with all that punkin soup! Yum!

I've had a quiet day today. Watched a few episodes of Little House On The Prairie with Joan. I got a little bit done of what I'd wanted to get done. Still, I feel guilty for not having done more of what I'd wanted to get done. I'll just have to push myself harder to get more things done. I have time limits on the things that I'm doing. I don't work well under pressure, even if the one putting the pressure on me is myself. I'll get everything done. I just need to apply myself more.

Well, the next thing I'm going to apply myself to is bed. I should have been there about 30 minutes ago.

Got some things done, but still have a long way to go. I'm sitting here trying not to fall asleep. Think I'll go and have a nap and then get back to it later.

Is there anything you won't drink to, Denny?

How was your trip?

Hi there, Terri. Seems I've missed you online.

Got some of the stuff done that I've been wanting to get done for a while. It's a relief. Still got other things that need to be done, but it's not as big a job as what I've just finished. It's a gift for one of my penpals. She said she wanted to exchange recipes. Well, she's got about 150 of them now. She's got no idea that's what's coming for her for Christmas.

If I can, I want to do some little cross stitches. I'll see how that goes. I've got my eye on one that suits Karlie down to the ground.

Gotta go to bed in a minute. I didn't realise how late it was when I got online.

Have a great day.

That's awesome, Ray.

Hi Terri. How are you today?

I'm just about to go and have some dinner. Hasn't been too busy a day today. Tomorrow will be different though.
