Spotting today, so I guess we'll try again in April (DH will be out of town during ovulation this month).

Oh Marti, that's so disheartening. What would they call that cycle then? Because if it were me, I'd be totally thinking I had ovulated. I mean the signs are there and everything!! How frustrating.

I have no idea what they will call it. It's not like I have super long cycles like I used to or anything. Surely something must be happening each month, to make me start TOM 12-14 days after my chart says I "ovulated". My doc says it needs to be 15-20 on a medicated cycle, but the lab slip says over 1.7 *could* be an indicator of a luteal phase level, but I'm sure the doc won't see it that way. I wonder if my string of pearl cysts stop the egg from actually releasing each month. The only problem is if that is the case, from what I've heard from every doctor, there isn't any real way to get rid of those cysts, that I am stuck with them forever. Does anyone know if they could stop ovulation? I seriously felt major things going on in my ovaries the day my chart says I ovulated, and I really expected my number to be better.

I think Ovarian Drilling can be helpful with "string of pearls" cysts. Have you checked out the soulcyster.net forums?

I have checked them out, years ago before I was married, but I wasn't TTC at that point. I guess I will have to do some reading over there again. I added my almost positive OPK's to my chart, since I obviously didn't ovulate when I thought I did, and it moved my ovulation to 3 days ago. I had noted having one patch of really watery CM, so I went ahead and recorded that too. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get another progesterone check done on Saturday, when I will be 7DPO. My doctor told me last month she wasn't going to do multiple draws because in her mind, if I didn't ovulate by CD15, then obviously the Clomid wasn't doing anything. Has anyone ever used online labs to get physician's orders before? I found a place that will do a progesterone draw for like 30 bucks, and I could use the same lab in town, just print the emailed orders off, bring them in, and call back in 3 days to get my results. I don't know if they are reputable or not though is the only problem. It's times like these that I really wish I had a lab where I could draw my own blood and run my own tests. I considered asking my GP to order the lab, but I'm sure she won't, since she wouldn't even do a pregnancy test back when I was pregnant. Are doctors everywhere really this bad?!?!?!?

No, they aren't. My last OB/GYN was absolutely fabulous about PCOS stuff and kept very up to date, especially since she has it herself. I know the soulcyster forum has a doctor recommendation section, maybe check there for someone in your area?

My current ob/gyn and my RE are both wonderful, but we have experienced our share of not-so-good doctors too. I hope you can find one that you like soon - what a difference that can make!

Hmm, now I'm not so sure I'm not pg. I've only had a smidge of spotting, and a tiny bit of brownish discharge. Still no actual period...

When are you going to test? If AF doesn't get truly started today, I'll probably test in the morning.

Sorry to hear, Lily. Ps31....I hope tomorrow reveals a BFP!! We're mid-cycle now, so there isn't a whole lot to report. Well, we're entering another 2 week wait. I guess that is something, lol.

Grrr, sorry p31. Mine came early this month. I'd rather that any day. It's the late ones that are emotionally draining.

I tend to worry some about the ones that come early as it makes me wonder if my luteal phase is long enough. My current normal is to have cycles that are around 26 days long.

Well, I'm 8DPO, but at this point I'm thinking my weird cravings were the clomid, and not that I'm actually pregnant or anything. My temp plummeted yesterday, and its still way down today. I don't think implantation takes that long, so I'm thinking its probably not a good sign.

It is hard to know. I always thought implantation occurred between days 7-10 after ovulation, so I wouldn't say that you are completely out yet. Did you get a rise today? If so, that would be a good sign. We are waiting. Timing wasn't really that great, so I am not expecting anything from this cycle.

No temp rise again. My temp went down even further. It is way to early for TOM, unless the Clomid is gonna screw up cycle length. I have a follow-up doc appointment tomorrow and she will be doing a beta test, so hopefully if the temp shoots up tomorrow it will show positive on a blood test. I'm sure she's going to decide I didn't ovulate though, since the blood was drawn at the wrong time, and I think I'm just gonna pretend to listen to her, get the script for next month's Clomid, and call new doctor's offices this afternoon. I think the wait time for new patients is like 2 months or so, so I might have to deal with her for a little longer before I can switch. CHART

That is so disappointing, Marti. But I wouldn't be count out yet. You don't know till you flow. And, unless there are other medical issues going on that you need to be monitored for each month, you could just take a month or two off. You know, let your body, mind and soul rest from the drugs and headache that comes from TTCing. It is so hard to do that, but it can be so beneficial for you and your marriage, just to sort of shelve it for a bit. Not forever, just a month or two. That way you don't have to deal with that doc for a bit. Just a thought.

I second what Kathryn says about a break. Yes, I understand the desire to have a child NOW. We've been TTC for nearly 3 years now though without a BFP. We stopped medication because we were taking an extended vacation and we knew we wouldn't have many opportunities to BD. Since that time, the only medication I have taken is Metformin. That stinks about your temps being everywhere. I have had similar cycles. My cycles with Clomid seemed to be the worst. The first time I took Clomid there was no ovulation pattern detected by basal temperature charting, but a blood serum progesterone test confirmed ovulation. I pray that you are able to find some answers soon. (((hugs)))
