Hi guys! So glad to hear that you are enjoying Doctor Who so far!

For those waiting for the US premiere on April 17th -- a few things to note. First, the BBC America premiere will be an extended version with limited commercial interruptions. PLUS it will feature some extras and exclusives only available on the US airing.

Also, if you are holding out and don't want too many spoilers, there is a brand new nine-minute FREE PREVIEW for the episode live on iTunes right now! http://bit.ly/doctorwhopreview

Thanks for all your feedback! We'll be back with more BBC America updates for you soon.

I saw the free preview on iTunes, and showed it to my hubby. For those who may be curious, this is not a set of clips, it's 9 running minutes from the show.

I was going to watch it just to see what the new guy was like, but all this talk of his assistant being a stripper, and the Doctor getting naked at one point....I thought this show was aimed at kids??

His assistant is a kiss-o-gram (which I'm assuming is like what we have in the US where somebody dresses up in a costume and delivers balloons or sings or whatever for a birthday or special occasion). So I assume the delivery involves kissing the person, not undressing.

As far as the show being aimed at kids, I think it's more fair to say that the show is aimed at being what we'd consider in the US a TV-PG show. Not produced for kids*, but with minimal gore and innuendo and nothing explicit. It is somewhat scary at times. There's been an ongoing character since the revival started, Captain Jack, who is basically interested in anything humanoid that he finds attractive - and his character was spun off into his own series, Torchwood, which was more of a TV-MA show. With Captain Jack's appearances in the last several seasons of Doctor Who, things are more hinted at then made explicit.

*Originally way back in the early 1960's, the show was created as a children's show. By the time the show had gotten a few years old (and certainly by the time of the Third Doctor) it was more of a mainstream scifi show.

Tonight's episode was absolutely fantastic. I loved every minute of it. When it was winding down, I had to look at the clock because it felt like it was just getting started. The effects looked much better than last week's, and Matt Smith is truly great as the Doctor. Amy is a great companion as well and has potential to become my favorite of the new Who companions.

I am extremely happy with the new direction the show is taking. Also adore the fairy tale look. The Smilers were creepy!

I think you're overreacting.

She used to be a kissagram, not a stripper, and the Doctor took his shirt off when he got changed, that's all. That's what I got from it anyway.

I just finished watching it, and WOW! I didn't expect it to be that good!! It seems like a completely different show, but still the same. Not sure what to think about the new TARDIS though...

I just finished it, and I really enjoyed it. The new doctor is quite likable, a lot like Tenant, but still his own man for certain. When I first saw him I didn't like his looks very much, but I think he's going to grow on me fast. I don't mind the new Tardis; don't much care either way.

So Amy was 7 when the doctor first came into her life, then 19, then 21? My husband called right away that it was the night before her wedding before we saw the dress. I'm not so certain about Amy. I'm rooting for her, though, and I hope she proves a worthy companion.

I thought it was very good as well. Dear Hubby was bugged that 7-year-old-Amy was "praying to Santa" but DD#2 said, "she's just a kid, doesn't know what she's doing..."

Oh, that's too bad - we have it with our DirecTV. We don't have preimium channels, but we might have a different base package.

I really liked the Amy/Amelia character - she didn't seem to whine as much as some of the other companions did at first. The new doctor is still taking me some time, but I like him so far just fine. I just miss that cute Tenant face.

We also watched the Doctor Who Guide - it came on an hour prior to the new season with all sorts of interesting information and the new writer and so forth.

If she'd prayed to God and the Doctor had come, that would make him into some kind of Messiah, and that surely wouldn't be right?

Child prays to fictional character, and fictional character arrives - yep, that works for me!

I think Tenant was/is more traditionally handsome, whereas Matt Smith has a quirky sort of cuteness. He makes me smile, but yeah, he's not gonna make a girl weak in the knees.

The last thing Tenant filmed as Doctor 10 was actually for the Sarah Jane Adventures. I'm always struck by how good Liz Sladen (Sarah Jane) looks, considering the actresses' age. The very last line the Doctor delivered was "Don't forget me, Sarah Jane." (probably thinking of Donna) Of course, she replies "No one could ever forget you."

Is no one going to talk about how amazing Saturday's episode was? Definitely the best of the ones aired so far, although they've all been great. The ending was wonderful, though I feel bad for you who watched it in England having to see the dancing Norton during one of the most riveting moments.

Yes, it was a good episode! I think this is just the second one I've seen so far.

I like the new Doctor but he is certainly not a romantic character for me at all.

And I really like Amy.

I enjoyed it, although it was a tad heavy handed.

I like the new Doctor quite a bit. He'll have his own place, not to be compared with Nine or Ten. Don't think I'd want to give a favorite, anymore then I have a favorite child.

Jury is still out on Amy, but I like her enough to keep watching her.

I thought the ending has a slight feel of "very special episode where everyone learns a lesson", but it wasn't a fatal flaw, just a sense I got.

No Norton for us cos we watched it on HD!!

LOVED Saturday's episode! Haven't said anything about it because most of our American friends haven't seen it yet - they're two behind the UK. The episode they saw last was The Beast Below.

Yep, and it was awesome...loved the interaction between Amy and the Doctor regarding her actions to disconnect the space whale or whatever he was called.
