Bob (physics teacher) is just adorable (in an "I wish he were MY grandpa" kind of way haha). Did you notice that he took his team cloth thingy and tied it into a bowtie in a few of the scenes? Not to mention that he plays like my husband and I would play, first priority is to fix everything and build stuff (which is why they appear to avoid having engineers on the show. haha.) I hope he stays around a while.
The Olympian might have had some trouble since she was climbing in a dress, but, I mean, it's SURVIVOR. You KNOW they're going to make you run somewhere or something as soon as you show up. People who wear suits or dresses to that have to be NUTS.

'don't know what happened to my post...
Anyway---
I can see the benefit on wearing a suit basing on the previous seasons. The suit jacket can be used when it's cold at night and when it's raining. I'll probably be wearing layers of clothing since you never know what to expect weather wise.

Yeah, but the material is so impractical. I would wear adjustable-length cargo pants (lots of pockets, unzip at the knees to remove the lower leg if it's hot), a good t-shirt, and a goretex jacket with removable fleece liner, and a pair of light hiking boots over a pair of cotton and a pair of wool socks.

I never could understand the choice of clothing some of them make. Hopefully after the "wardrobe malfunction" during the last challenge men will remember to wear something underneath their boxers.

I would totally wear layers - swimsuit, athletic shorts & tee, pants and a warm sweater. I imagine they try to trick them - so i would wear this to every single thing they invited me too - whether they told us it was a gala dinner or a photo op or whatever - I would NOT be unprepared!!

I am with you Tammy..... I would wear all these clothes all the time.
And make sure I had sunglasses & regular glasses. That way I could start a fire with the regular glasses.

Yes! I would totally practice making fire at home before going. And take swimming lessons! I can already swim - but I'd want to swim better!

Oh yeah, and hike and everything so I would be in good enough shape to do the challenges.
I run and I am pretty tough, but I am not a great swimmer, but I can wrestle and beat people up! LOL! I have 4 brothers!

I can't go underwater without plugging my nose - there's no way I'd do well at swimming challenges!
But yeah - practice starting fires, cooking over a fire (rice, etc.), opening coconuts; wear all the clothes I want from the time we get off the plane (or even when we go to board the plane)... although I wonder on this if the producers don't let them do that.

I haven't posted here , but do have a comment on this. The contestants do not choose what they wear. They bring clothes with them. The production staff goes thru the clothing and picks out what they can and can't wear. I used to wonder why contestants did not layer their clothes; like shorts under a skirt, t-shirt under long sleeve shirt. They do not have a choice.

I don't eat any of that stuff and don't plan to start!!! I was hoping they would turn and Ace would go but I'm not surprised at the outcome.
I do hope GC goes the next time they are up!

One thing about the clothes - it did say they are allowed to bring a selection of clothing. Why would you select a dress? Or do they make you bring a dress? KWIM? I can see that they still pick what you're wearing out of what you brought - but why would you bring anything unpractical?

I know why they voted out who they did, but I'm going to miss that person. I liked that person.

The gay guy (can't think of his name at the moment) really drives me crazy. "I love Marcus!" UGH!! I will be so happy to see him go!

I did too, and personally thought it was stupid and that they were over-reacting. Even though Sugar has the idol, they'd have to figure out which of them everyone was planning to vote for in order for her to give it to them - and that would be pretty hard I'd think.

It surprised me that Bob was so late in getting picked. He may not have the strength of others, but is smart at figuring out puzzles. He and Ken would be the best to have on a team for any kind of mind challenges.
Yes, they should have voted out Kelly. They still had 4 - 3 and were going to be the majority whether Jackie or Kelly went.
