If you remember, when everyone was sitting around in the living room, Michelle specifically said that they could not kiss but of course her and Jim Bob could and so they would do all the kissing for them. Then we were subjected to seeing them kiss .

Two words: rude and unnecessary!!!

they could choose to do so if they were regular young adults but when you were told what to do all your life from your parents I don't think they would go against what their parents told them.

Well, you do if you're a regular adult and you're interesting in being your own person, cutting the apron strings, and learning to think for yourself (in which case they may or may not decided they could kiss before marriage, but it would've been their own choice as two adults), but not if you're trying to be your parents.

I thought I remembered them saying that it was up to the kids to decide for themselves how they were going to approach dating and marriage and that they were proud of Josh's decision but wouldn't force it on him or any of the other kids.

Oh they did say that, to the camera, but then when everyone was sitting around in the Duggars living room is when Michelle said they could not kiss but could hold hands. I think Michelle said something about the Kellers and them had decided they could hold hands. It wasn't said in jest either it was a serious conversation.

Just finally watched the last episode, I was not impressed with Josh's flying around while everyone stood in yard and wrung their hands...big deal. He went for a plane ride.... Josh annoys me. All the hugging and kissing and not being able to do anything without a kiss or a hug or with arms wrapped around each other annoyed me.

That's why I didn't even watch. I could tell from the previews that it was going to be totally uninteresting. Josh's personality grates on me. I don't think he's a bad guy. Just...annoying.

I enjoyed the footage of MacKynzie (sp), and the footage of Anna being greeted by her family, but the plane part of the episode was totally unnecessary.

Tonight's episode looks pretty good...with the family moving to the city to be closer to Josie.

ETA....just watched the episodes since I missed most of last weeks. This weeks episode was pretty good. Jill seems to have taken the lead in regards to interviews and camera speaking time. The info on Josie I think felt very real, very emotional and very informative. However, I just feel like I'm watching something that I shouldn't be. Like, that little girl deserves to NOT have a camera in her face. KWIM?

As for last week's episode, I noticed something that had not been mentioned yet. They went to the pilot's homechurch and I noticed that the women were not sitting with the men. Is that a Gothard thing?

Last night was a really good episode.
The NICU nurse looked SO familiar, I think I have seen her before. I can't place her though. I wonder if she used to work at Baptist, or maybe was at the March of Dimes or soemthing.

Did anyone else think it was odd for them to be staying in an historic house??? I kept thinking these little kids are going to break that stained glass and everything else.

Well, they needed someplace big enough to accommodate the 15+ people they brought to Little Rock. Maybe big houses there are limited? Especially near the hospital since most hospitals are in the old part of town?

I was wondering if they ever said why they chose that house or how it was chosen, I know it was close to the hospital but I wonder if there was another reason. I could have missed how they came to find that house, I wonder if TLC had anything to do with it. It is a beautiful house and I think that was probably the one thing that bothered me was how they were running around in that home. It has held up for 100 years, hopefully it can hold up to those Duggar kids. How ironic that the person who used to live there was pro-birth control. I thought it was funny when Jim Bob said she was probably rolling in her grave.

I thought the house was super cool. Although, I'd be nervous that it was haunted...LOL!

I too wondered why that house was chosen. I was guessing that maybe the owners donated the use for the publicity of the historic home. ACH is near the capital (same exit, you go right for ACH, left for the capitol buidlings)so there are not many houses at all in that part of town. When we stayed in LR while Isaac was in the NICU (at a different hospital) we borrowed an apartment just a couple blocks from the capitol (our local state rep donated it), though the tiny one room apartment would NOT have held the Duggars!! haha Though anything in LR would have been closer for them. But from that house's location you can almost walk to the hospital.

I thought it was interesting that they pointed out that the house had been owned by a family of six children and the mother of those children was an early advocator of birth control.

Since we are watching events that happened a month ago, I sure wish we could find out how baby Josie is doing today. Isn't it only about 3 weeks till original due date? k

Here is a recent article.
ARTICLE
ETA..okay after reading the article it doesnt say much. But I'm assuming she's probably an "eater and grower" now. Meaning she needs to learn to take all feedings orally, hold her own body temp, and not have HR/oxygen drops for at least 48 hours.

Here is their caringbridge site.
CARING BRIDGE

ETA..okay thats useless too.

Me too.

I thought from reports earlier that it's a house owned by a family friend? Or was that another house?

Anyhooo...many of the early campaigners for birth control were also eugenicists (IOW, it wasn't always necessarily about family limitation but limiting population growth among "undesireables"). She might be rolling over in her grave, or she might have been perfectly fine with a rapidly growing horde of white folk. Depends on what kind of birth control proponent she was.

Yes. When they first went, they went to friends' house. Then they switched to this house.
