I was worried about the Kyle story last night at first but it was very emotional knowing that he might be losing his Dad's affection with another kid. It was a great story line.

It's nice to move on to some of the other characters. I thought Kurt's story was well-done (unfortunately Mercedes' story was unrealistic...I wish television could deal with weight in a complex way). The truth is that it never could have ended well. And being a teen he can't see how self-centered his manipulation is to his father. Best line: "How do you two not have a show on Bravo?"

Finally caught up on the episodes now. I am very happy with the (no pun intended) "new direction" the show is taking. If you do compare the old episodes with the newer ones, there is a difference. It's like they recognized what worked with the first half of the season, and implemented it in the new episodes. I was angry when they took a break, but I am happy now that I've seen their results. I love that Ryan Murphy can't ever create a show with a completely evil villain. As much as you're typically supposed to "hate" Sue Sylvester, they do steal you away from that moment with scenes with her sister...even though she might be occasionally fibbing to her sister. But her reading the "big bear, little bear" book to her was a perfect way to balance her character. Yes, the Kurt story is great. As a growing up gay guy, my dad chose my brother over me. It has eventually led to us severing ties completely...so I can relate to what Kurt is going through. Even though his dad is much better than mine. His didn't intentionally run over his dog in front of him while smiling...hmmmm. Whatever. Love that Britney is getting much more lines. She is a hilarious character, and her deadpan delivery is wonderful. "What is she doing here?" "I've been here since first period. I have a cold. I took all my antibiotics at once and now I can't remember how to leave." I also like how they acknowledge that the singing portions of the show are terrible by throwing little nods like Finn playing the drums, then the drums mysteriously continuing to play while he gets up and moves. It's a show that knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. And that makes me happy. My only complaint is that I wish they would speed up the Jesse storyline so he can hurry up and be exposed. Also, go Emma. Sue may have talked her into chewing Will out for the wrong reasons...but it was needed. He was walking all over her.

Yeah, the girl that plays Britney is great. "I don't even know how to turn the computer on". LOL The "Physical video" was too funny!

Found out that the girl who plays Britney was a back up dancer for Beyonce. She was not on her music video but she was in her concerts. I think it was last years AMA (check youtube) and you can see her dancing with Beyonce doing Single Ladies.

She actually taught Kurt how to do the Single Ladies' dance for the episode when he played football. There was a video I saw on YouTube of him doing it with one of the girls live...Britney wasn't there. It was fun though.

Love that they brought Sue's sister out. Hadn't seen her before, but like her. She almost makes Sue look human. Yeah, I was curious about the "magic drums" thing too .. my roomate actually wondered if they sing their own songs because of it. Well, yeah, but they are obviusly lip-synching to studio-mixed music .... All the same, Jesse's Girl ROCKED. Kurt playing it "straight ...." priceless! And Finn, using Mercedes to be popular?

Another good episode. The re-do of "The Boy is Mine" was ok - but the girl that plays Santana can sing.. they need to use her character more. Brittney is just too funny the way she was sitting there when Kurt's dad walked in on them.

'just found out that the actor playing Jessie was on the original broadway cast of Spring Awakening with Lea Michele (Rachel)....they were the main characters.

Another great episode last night and great moments. I love the duet between Morrison and Neal Patrick, I love Idina and Leah's duet and I love Artie's dream dance sequence.

That was funny. I am not sure how old Patti Lupone is, but I think she might be a little bit too old to be Rachel's mom. I am not too familair with broadway stars, but the guest star (Idina?) looks like just like Rachel (Lea Michele) . I liked the episode but there weren't any lines from Brittney!

Yes Idina DOES look just like Leah ... wonder if they are related IRL?

The casting of Rachel's Mom's just perfect. I'd still want to see Idina and Kristin in a scene together.

I just watched an episode that I had missed. So, my question is this: When the show's writers and producers decided to give Rachel a boyfriend from the enemy choir, did they purposely name him Jesse so that Finn would be able to sing "Jese's Girl"? If they did, good way to plan ahead! LOL

I thought last week was the season finale, but its not Last night's was ok. I don't think the sue/will thing and Quinn/Mercedes story worked that well, but it's probably just to lead up the season finale next week. I liked when they were in the Bed Bath, Beyond type store though.

'felt really sad for Rachel when she was egged. For some reason, I have a feeling that they will not win regionals on the season finale since Sue will just mess things up.

I think they probably will win. It's been renewed for another season, and to start from scratch all over again would just be annoying. However, if they make it to nationals...I don't think they would win that. Probably be like a Bring It On thing with them coming in second or third.

I read in EW that next season they are introducing a conservative Christian character to the club and that the director promised that the character would not be the "version of contemporary Christian that becomes the butt of all the jokes like so many other shows do." He said that like all the characters he/she will be given the same archtype characteristics that highlights strengths/flaws and storyline to see that there is more than the initial stereotypical label." The character will be played by one of the contest winners from this season's talent search.
